FAQS
Booking
Do you provide on-location services and is there a travel fee?
Yes! In fact, I’m on location the majority of the time. However, due to licensing laws and requirements, we only provide services for Washington state. A travel fee is usually involved, but varies depending on the location distance from each artist.
How do I book my wedding with you?
Fill out the contact form on the “Book Your Date” page.
You will be contacted regarding the information you provided and details will be discussed.
If your date is available, and you would like to proceed, a contract will be sent to you.
Fill out the contract and send it back along with the deposit.
Done! Your wedding date is booked!!
Do I need to know how many people want services?
When you are signing your contract, it is important to have a rough estimate of the amount of services needed to allow for enough time to be reserved for you. As time gets closer to your date, it is harder to find available artists to help accommodate any extra services. Generally, 1-2 services can be added on the day of.
If I have a hairstylist already, can I still book you for makeup (or vice versa)?
Absolutely! I love working with and meeting new creatives in the industry!
Trial
When should I book my trial?
I recommend booking a trial about 1-2 months in advance. However, there are times when brides are coming from out of town and can only do their trial days before their wedding and that’s fine too. I also try to encourage brides to utilize their trial for a photoshoot, bridal shower, etc and will happily work with the schedules for that if I’m available.
Can I book my trial on the weekend?
In some cases, yes. But generally (especially during wedding season) weekends are reserved for weddings and events only. I understand that this may be inconvenient for some and am willing to meet on a weekday afternoon/evening if needed.
How should I prepare and what do I need to bring?
ALL products are included in the pricing. However, there are certain things to consider and prep for.
Makeup: A clean face is appreciated. Although I do provide all the quality products needed for a makeup application, if you have sensitive skin and have a foundation that works for you, I would be happy to apply that for you. Also, if you have a lipstick shade that you love coordinates with your bridal party or wedding colors, please remember to bring that to your trial.
Hair: Please arrive with CLEAN, DRY hair. I also suggest bringing your veil, extensions, and/or any hair accessories that you’ll be wearing on the day of.
What products do you use?
I am selective about the products that I use. My makeup brands range from Anastasia Beverly Hills, NARS, Estee Lauder, MAC, Tarte, ETC. I have chosen products that I’ve found to give the best results for long lasting results, ensuring a flawless application that is sure to last.
For hair products, it’s pretty straightforward. I mainly stick with Kenra as I’ve found it to be a very solid, reliable brand overall.
How long does the trial take?
Please allow approximately 2.5 hours to complete consultation, hair, and makeup.
Wedding Day
What should my party and I do to prepare for the day of? What should we bring?
A proper skin care regimen weeks prior to your date is recommended for optimal results. Daily cleansing and moisturizing, adequate water intake, and plenty of rest along with weekly exfoliating is best. Contact me if you’re stumped on which products to use.
Makeup: On the day of, please come with a face free of makeup and any products you may desire to use apart from mine.
Hair: Make sure that everyone comes with CLEAN, DRY hair. I can’t stress this enough. Failure to do so could result in serious timing delays and/or inability to provide requested style. Please be sure to bring any hair accessories, florals, extensions, and/or veil that you desire for your completed look.
How long will it take to get ready and how many artists will be there?
This is a highly variable answer dependent upon amount of services and time restrictions. I first take into consideration the timeframe that you need and then the total hair and makeup services there are to be completed. Depending on that, I then decide how many artists will be needed in order to have everyone done within that amount of time.
How do we pay?
Payments can be made with cash, card, or through apps such as Venmo, PayPal, etc. Services must be paid in full on the day of.
Background
How long have you been in business?
I officially started this business in 2019 after doing various weddings for friends and family members and developing a love for it. Making people feel beautiful (especially for such a sacred event) is something that I'm so blessed to be able to do.
Did you go to school for hair and makeup?
Absolutely! I graduated from Paul Mitchell in Dallas, TX in 2006 and am a 100% licensed cosmetologist. I actually worked in the salons for years and slowly developed a love for styling hair, especially updos!!
